In the window, or sandboxed
A plugin in the window runs in Bläck Studio's page. It can draw its own interface and use the editor directly.
A sandboxed plugin runs in a worker of its own:
- No page: it can't reach the page, the editor or other plugins.
- No network of its own: it has no
fetch, and no way to load code. - Everything through Bläck Studio: it asks for what it needs through
this.app, and Bläck Studio answers with its permissions. - The same methods: it has everything above except what draws an interface. Its status bar items are text, and its menu entries say with
showwhether they're for a selection.
The plugin list shows a sandboxed plugin as such. If your plugin doesn't need to draw, make it sandboxed.
