Your books

Bläck Studio keeps your books on your own devices, as plain files. It sends them nowhere, unless you set up syncing or backups to a place of your choosing.

Bläck Sync

If you put a book on Bläck Sync, it’s kept on our server, to keep your devices in step, with its version history. Only you and the people you share it with can see it. When you stop subscribing it becomes read-only, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Dictation

Dictation on the device runs on your own computer, phone or tablet, and what you say never leaves it. If you choose a service instead (OpenAI or Groq), what you say goes to that service with your own key, and nowhere else.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card. We keep your name, your email and your subscription’s state, to give you access.
